Celebration of Commitment and Faith: Claretian Professions and Renewals in India

On 31 May 2024, the Feast of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Claretian Organisms in India celebrated and witnessed professions and renewals.

Province of St. Thomas

In a solemn Eucharistic celebration presided over by  Fr. Siby Njavallikunnel CMF, the Provincial Superior, students John Kodackanal, Tojit Pallipurathu and Ajin Pottananiyil made their perpetual profession and Twenty-two students of the Province renewed their vows, reaffirming their commitment to faith and service at Kuravilangad, India. The event was graced by the presence of priests, religious, parents, relatives and well-wishers.

Province of Bangalore

Seven postulants entered the novitiate on 30 May 2024, marking a significant step in their spiritual journey. The following day, 31 May 2024, witnessed the First Profession of four novices from the Bangalore Province and one from the Kolkata Delegation, along with ten renewals of vows. The event was held at Claret Bhavan, Bangalore, India.

The Independent Delegation of Kolkata

The Kolkata delegation was blessed and enriched as nine students made their first profession and two students named Balaram Mandi and Sujit Kisku made their perpetual profession to God and His people at Claret Nivas, Barrackpore, Kolkata.

Province of Northeast India

Six students, Bhakupar Shadap, Chunjanglung James Gangmei, Charles Murmu, Hemant Toppo, Kyrshanbok Pohchen, Teiborlang Malngiang made their perpetual profession in the Congregation; three students, Joni Syngkli, Jhan Miki Phawa and Paulus Suphai made their first profession; and seven other students renewed their vows. Fr. Joseph Mappilaparambil, CMF, the Provincial Superior, presided over the celebration, accompanied by other members of the Provincial Council, Claretian brothers and priests of other religious congregations.  Parents, relatives, friends, faithful and well-wishers were present.
