Madrid, Spain. On the 7th of March, a day before the International Women’s Day, Publicaciones Claretianas of Madrid launched the book “Diez cosas que el Papa Francisco propone a las mujeres” (Ten Things that Pope Francis Proposes to Women), authored by María Teresa Compte Grau, a professor of Social Doctrines of the Church (Madrid Campus – Pontifical University of Salamanca), at the Fundación Pablo VI in Madrid.

We can’t expect a feminism that does not conform to the truth of the Gospel” said Fernando Prado, Director of the Publications, on his opening remarks during the event. “I hope this book is not just a first step; I hope there are possibilities to offer many other things in favor of feminism and equality,” the author said.

Four renowned women in the Church in Spain took part in the round table discussion: Miriam Cortés Diéguez, Pontifical University of Salamanca Rector; Natalia Peiró Pérez, General Secretary of Cáritas; Clara Pardo Gil, President of Manos Unidas; and the author of the book.
