Yaoundé, Cameroon. The Delegation of Cameroon organized their “Bible Week” from January 13-20, celebrated in a special way at the “Martyrs of Barbastro” Philosophate of Yaounde under the guidance of the superiors of the community.
At the opening Fr. Armel Abessolo, CMF, Prefect of studies, reminded the students of the importance of reading the Bible for their Claretian formation.
Coinciding with the Week of prayer for the unity of Christians, special importance was given to the texts and meditations proposed for all the Churches and which invited them to pay attention to the “dalits” (of India) and to the guide text:”What is it that the Lord wants from you? May you walk with Him in justice and goodness” (Mi 6:6-8).
For his part the superior of the community, Fr. Jude Thaddeus Langeh, CMF developed the theme: “The place of the Bible facing scientific and technological discoveries”.
In addition, Fr. Langeh in his capacity as Prefect of the Apostolate of the Delegation, gave a course for all the communities of Cameroon to motivate them on the importance and value of the reading of Sacred Scripture.
