Santiago, Chile. On March 11, the Global Day of Action for Climate organized by the global environmental movement of multiple religions Greenfaith International took place.
This action brought together organizations, religions and spirituals from around the world to call for the care of creation, under the slogan “Sacred People Sacred Earth”.
For eleven minutes, different sounds were made to raise awareness of the climate crisis. There was the ringing of bells in Catholic and Lutheran parishes, the sound of sacred instruments in the temple of the Bahai faith, spaces of prayer and song in the Jewish world and many other spiritualities.
In Chile the main action took place in the temple of San Francisco in Santiago, where representatives of different communities and movements displayed a canvas.
The Claretian Province of San José del Sur was present thanks to the participation of the biblical teams of Antofagasta, Copiapó, Santiago, Curicó-Mujeres and Temuco, who made videos denouncing the environmental crisis.
