Rome. The day of August 29, in the middle of the General Chapter of the Claretian Missionaries, an encounter was held with members of the Claretian Family, especially the branches that were present in Rome: Claretian Missionary Sisters, Lay Claretians and Missionary Sisters of Saint Anthony Mary Claret. To a certain extent, it was for all present a day of the Claretian Family: although it was really an afternoon and evening, but the programme was intensive.
The moment of reception and greetings was interesting. The fraternity that united us and the joy of the encounter was evident.
In the Chapter Hall we had some time for a brief presentation of each one of the branches present, as well as those who became close through a message expressly sent for the occasion. Very valuable ideas were contributed about what the other members of the family see and what they desire to see in the Claretian Missionaries. After this time of encounter, we shared a Eucharist which underlined the charismatic aspects that unite us. The Word of Jesus and the Bread of his Body strengthened us in the shared mission.
The equally shared table put an end to this Claretian afternoon.
