Tambaram, India. The meeting of the ASCLA-West Major Superiors took place at the Provincial Curia of Chennai in Tambaram on the 12th and 13th of December 2019.
The two-day meeting focused on matters related to formation (initial and ongoing), mission, community life, spirituality, etc. Time was allotted also to plan the closing celebration of the Golden Jubilee of the Claretian presence in India. It is scheduled to be held in Kuravilangad, Kerala on July 16, 2020.
All six Major Superiors of ASCLA-West (Bangalore, Chennai, St. Thomas, Northeast India, Kolkata, and Sri Lanka) were present and the meeting was led by the Conference’s President Fr. J.M.J. Jeyaseelan (Major Superior of St. Joseph Vaz Independent Delegation, Sri Lanka).
The Major Superiors also took time to spend time together on an outing cum dinner.
The next meeting of the Major Superiors together with their Councils has been scheduled on July 17 to 18, 2020 at the Provincial Curia of St. Thomas Province.
