Bengaluru, India: The Province of Bangalore hosted a renewal seminar for the jubilarians of the ASCLA West Conference from 25-27 May 2024 at the Provincial Curia, Bengaluru. 17 priests, seven from the Province of Bangalore, four from the Province of Chennai, five from the delegation of Kolkata and one from the Province of North East India participated in the renewal seminar; the participants included those celebrating the golden jubilee of their religious profession and those celebrating the silver jubilee of their ordination and religious life.
The three-day seminar consisted of sharing the journey of life, which helped the jubilarians to recall the joy and fidelity of their vocation, the Claretian fraternal communion and the fulfilment of the ministerial priesthood. George Kulangara, CMI, helped the jubilarians reflect on priestly leadership through mission spirituality, while Fr. Benny Koottanal, MSFS, inspired the participants with reflections on holistic maturity. Dr Merin Thomas engaged in an interactive session with the jubilarians to understand the expectations of the laity towards priests. The group also enjoyed an evening with the Claretian community at Jalahalli. The jubilarians cherished the joy of the Claretian fraternity and the renewal of missionary commitment through this gathering.
