Rome. The Holy Father has appointed Fr. Aitor Jiménez CMF as undersecretary of the Dicastery for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life(DICLSAL). We rejoice with our brother for the well-deserved trust, we wish him excellent work in favor of consecrated life and we offer him our support and prayers. It is a joy and an honor for the entire Congregation.
Curriculum vitae
Fr. Jiménez Echave, CMF, was born on 29 December 1962 in Luchana-Baracaldo (Spain). On 13 September 1987 he made his Perpetual Profession in the Congregation of the Missionary Sons of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and on 30 April 1989 he was ordained a priest. На received a Doctorate in Utroque lure and a Doctorate in Theology of Consecrated Life from the Pontifical Lateran University in Rome (Italy). He holds several Diplomas, including one in Oriental Canon Law. Since 2006 he has been an Official of the Dicastery for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life.
