Bangalore, India: The Claretians of Bangalore Province organized a regional youth get-together on Sunday, 19th February 2023, which witnessed the participation of 64 young individuals from seven different parishes. The day began with a Holy Mass at 9 AM, celebrated with the parish community. Following the Mass, the event was inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Sabu George, the Provincial Superior, in the presence of Rev. Fr. Jaipaul, Prefect of Youth and Vocation Ministry.
In his inaugural address, Fr. Provincial emphasized the importance of Communion, Participation, and Mission by the youth in their respective parishes. The day also featured different orientations toward life, led by Rev. Fr. Dominic Sequira, the resource person for the event. Fr. Jaipaul spoke to the youth about the importance of making the right decisions in life to succeed and also shared insights on Claretian mission and ministries.
The event was organized by Fr. Joseph Thoompanal, in charge of Karnataka Youth, and Fr. Anthony D’Souza, the Parish Priest of Doddaballapur. Other Claretian priests, including Frs. Sebastian T., Mario Zalki, Valentine, and Lourduswamy, also joined the youth to spend time with them and motivate them.
The meeting was considered a resounding success by the organizers., with the youth expressing their appreciation for the opportunity to come together, learn, and grow in their faith. The organizers were lauded for their efforts in bringing together young individuals from different parishes and providing them with an enriching and fulfilling experience.
