Bogota Colombia. With the celebration of the Eucharist presided over by Father General at the end of the day of September 11, 2018, the Province of Colombia Oriental Ecuador began its XV Provincial Chapter itinerary. The richness of the reflection contributed by the Provincial Assembly held prior to the Chapter marks the lines to follow in the discernment of the Chapter.
In the opening session, the President of Chapter, Fr. Mathew Vattamattam, CMF, exhorted the Chapter Members to bear in mind that the Chapter is a moment of grace for the Province, the Congregation, and the Church. He did so by echoing four principles raised by Pope Francis: time is greater than space, unity prevails over conflict, reality is more important than the idea, and the whole is greater than the part.
