Rome, Italy. Despite the changes that the COVID-19 pandemic caused, the worldwide Meeting of the Claretian Prefects of Apostolate pushed through. The journey together may not be physically but still together online virtually. The meeting previously set to happen in the United States of America on the same dates as it is now, started on Tuesday afternoon in Rome, September 8, 2020. The online afternoon encounters (Roman time) shall continue until the 15th of this month with simultaneous online translations in English, Spanish and French.
The objectives of this meeting are the following:
-
- to promote the knowledge of the congregational journey towards the peripheries and towards the youth;
- to share projects and good practices of pastoral-missionary and ecological conversion;
- to familiarize with the Claretian presence and action at the UN in a horizon of shared mission; and
- to deepen charismatically and creatively on being “rooted and audacious” while building a contribution to the XXVI General Chapter.
