Rome, Italy. In its desire to equip, arm, and make the missionaries assigned to the Italian Region of Sanctus Paulus Province be fully integrated into the apostolic activity of the region, they created a summer course specific to that purpose.
Father General, Mathew Vattamattam, CMF, opened the two-month course with a Eucharist and a dialogue with the missionaries assigned to Italy in the afternoon of July 1, 2020, in Banchi Vecchi, Rome.
The course runs from the 1st of July till the end of August. The first week is dedicated to knowing the background of the assigned missionaries as well as in understanding the Italian culture, history, geography, social and ecclesial realities. The second week will deal with the Claretian Spirituality that will be given by the General Prefect of Spirituality himself, Fr. Gonzalo Fernández, CMF. In the third week, they will talk about the current reality of the Congregation. And in the following weeks, they will discuss matters on moral issues, guidelines, liturgy, the Church in Italy, the Claretian Constitutions, and mission.
Visits to different tourist and ecclesiastical spots, as well as films, group dynamics, and interactions, occupy the weekends.
All the best to all our brothers assigned to Italy!
