Rome, Italy. The coronavirus pandemic is forcing us to be at home. To keep our missionary spirit alive, we have a new application for mobile devices. It’s called “Walking with Claret.” It gathers the texts of the book of the same name whose second edition saw the light last year. As the General Prefect of Spirituality points out in the introduction, “the title of this book is brief and cordial: Walking with Claret.” It unites Claret with each reader, in a kind of continuous dialogue. For each day of the year, a text is offered that is drawn from one of Claret’s many works, accompanied by a brief commentary by Claretian Missionaries from around the world. In this way, the original text, written more than 150 years ago, becomes current. It is as if Claret himself began to walk with the reader without bothering him with a great dissertation, suggesting to him only one thought that can help him to live better”.
At the moment, the application is available in Spanish and Portuguese. It will also be available in English and French at a later date.
The application can be downloaded from the Google Play platform: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.claretiano.claretcontigo and the App Store.
