Ikorodu, Nigeria. Three scholastics of East Nigeria Province, Schs. Nweke Ignatius, Ogbu Bernard and Okoye Vincent, CMFF, were ordained Deacons on Sunday, 8 December 2019, at the St Augustine Catholic Church in Ikorodu, Lagos State, by Most Rev. Hilary Dachelem, CMF Bishop of Bauchi.
In his homily, Bishop Hilary urged the ordinands to emulate Father Claret who was a great missionary and servant of the Word. He encouraged them to be known everywhere by their Claretian DNA which is found in the pen picture. He thanked their families for supporting their sons in their Claretian vocation and asked them their continual prayers.
The occasion was also used to present the 2020 edition of the Bible Diary which was published in English and Yoruba languages.
