The reality of Angola forces us to take a diversified apostolate. We welcome the poor and assist them spiritually and materially. We welcome, we listen to all who turn to our community or parish, those who are in search of spiritual accompaniment or the Sacrament of Reconciliation. In the Eucharistic celebration, we find the unique moment to propose to men and women the person of Christ.
Young people have been one of the aims of our evangelization, offering them space and time to live together, study and train in an integral way.
The fratricidal war in Angola ended 17 years ago, but today the challenge of the struggle for social peace and true reconciliation prevails. Therefore, we face the need to work for justice, peace, and integrity of creation. On this matter, we recognize that our steps have been a bit small still.
Seeing the number of children, youth and adults outside the education system and the labor market, the response of a teaching and learning structure that becomes a true instrument of evangelization and a rebirth of hope becomes extremely necessary.
We are celebrating 50 years of Claretian presence in Angola. Open and docile to the Spirit, we are led to listen attentively and to receive with great openness His teachings. With these forces, we Claretians participate in many struggles, we remain committed to the Mission, supporting the poor and their need, offering them tools to ensure a better future.
