Talagante, Chile. The First Meeting of the Youth and Vocations Ministry of the Claretian Family of America is currently taking place, September 2 to 6, 2019, at the Claret Center in Talagante. Present are the Youth and Vocations Ministry referents of the five branches of the Claretian Family present in America (Religious of Mary Immaculate Claretian Missionary Sisters (RMI), Congregation of Cordimarian Missionary Sisters (MCM), Missionaries of St. Anthony Mary Claret (MSAMC), Missionaries of the Claretian Institute (MIC), and our Congregation (CMF)) and some youth guests. It is good to note that the entire American Continent is represented.
Listening to the realities faced by the youths in Latin America and the Caribbean, with an emphasis on the youth of our ministries, has been prioritized in this meeting. On the second day, Salesian priest Fr. Erick Oñate Jorquera illuminated the group with the discussion of his topic “Looking at our experience of Accompaniment in Youth Ministry.” The third day was dedicated on sharing the experiences of each branch, including their researches and findings on projects and plans with the youth and in the youth’s vocation discernment, in order to draw lines of action and shared paths that would respond to those needs with blazing common charismatic fire inherited from Claret.
