Rome. The Assembly of the Italian Delegation, celebrated in Rome from April 7 to 11, has positively evaluated in its final conclusions the “4×4 project” developed during the previous triennium (4×4= four meetings in four communities). The 2005 Assembly had decided to face certain tendency to fragmentation that was already present in the Organism, with four annual meetings open to all the members who could participate. For this reason we have decided to continue the experience, intertwining it for the next period with the reflection that the entire Congregation will make on the theme of identity. Another theme that the Assembly has tackled is the look toward the future, taking into account that great changes are expected in some of our positions. The parish of Segrate, in effect, is considerably increasing the number of its inhabitants and, above all, the Diocese is re-structuring its own organization with the pastoral communities, which are making the many pastoral agents interact although they are mostly in one territory.
In Altamura too we are about to initiate a new parish in a peripheral zone of the city, where the Diocese is also involved in pastoral reorganization.
This look into the future is comforted by the priestly ordination of two brothers, Juan Gustavo Pez and Massimo Proscia, which will take place next summer, and by the arrival among us of Wagner de Aragão Brito Sobrinho, of the Province of Brazil, assigned by Fr. General to our Delegation. That will also allow us to consider in a renewed way the vocational ministry.
