Puerto Rico. That is the name of the project that is being developed in the Claretian Delegation of the Antilles, with the objective of invigorating the biblical animation of the entire ministry in all the Claretian positions. We have started the 0 stage, whose objective is the sensitizing and vitalization of the communities and pastoral agents, which is so typical of the Claretian charism.
From October 2 to 4, we organized the Biblical workshop, with 25 Lay Claretians, in the Mission House of Bayamon. In the hall, a route marked with stones, staked out by books of the Bible, was leading and pointing out the way towards an altar where we enthroned the Word of God.
On arrival, we were given a bundle, a Claretian and missionary symbol. It contained a torch, symbol of the light of Jesus; a compass, symbol of our community, and a rosary, to make us feel the Mary and prayer will by our travelling companions in this so new, and so old a route, in search of the faithfulness to Christ. Through this route others have already walked, and their footsteps are marked on the way by their love for the Word and by their testimony of life: Father Claret, Teresa of Calcutta; St. Theresa of the Child Jesus, John Paul II, Blessed Charlie.
Fr. Hector Chadrado inaugurated the travel with the presentation of the Project and of the Biblical Commission that is setting it in motion. The Workshop was a privileged time of participation, assimilation of contents and expression of experiences.
We ended this Workshop, which we have entitled “An encounter with Jesus and his Project,” with a very well participated Eucharist.
