Canada. Today, February 28 2010, we have begun our General Assembly, aftr havin implored the Lord’s enlightment by the hymn “Veni, Creator Spiritus”, under de presidency of Fr. General, Josep M Abella. At the opening of the Assembly, we have lamented the absence Fr. Yvon Lafontaine, Delegate of the Delegation, who died
on the 23rd of Decembre 2009, as well as that of Fr. Yves Gauthier, member of the Delegation’s Council, who died on January 19th of this year. Father General had come last December to visit our two sick members just before their deaths. The Assembly members have felt somewhat orphans. The presence of Father General strengthens us and encourages us to go on forward with our mission. We do not feel ourselves so lonely in spite of the loss of two Canadian Claretians on whom we had placed so much hope.
These sad events make our Assembly encore plus important et quite special. We ask God’s and our Mother’s help.
