Roma. In the month of June, Fr. Manuel Arroba Conde CMF, has been elected President of the Institute “utriusque juris” of the Lateran University in Rome.
The above mentioned Institute, composed of the Faculty of Canon Law and the Faculty of Civil Law, offers an unique vision of law. The point of departure is that, independent of the juridical traditions of every system, the aspiration for the value of justice is universal, within and outside the Church and in every juridical culture.
The title “utroque iure” is based on the study of comparative law, facilitating the understanding of the principal legal techniques of every system with respect to the major themes, and promoting the dialogue between and among the best aspects of each legal tradition with respect to the issues of ethical orientation.
