Colmenar Viejo, España. We share some images of our house of Colmenar Viejo which, from September 8 to 18, will be the venue of the Encounter of the General Government with the Major Superiors of the Congregation.Under the jurisdiction of the Province of Santiago, the mission of this house includes the International Seminary, the assistential community and the Retreat house. It also has a church open to the public.
In the Seminary of Colmenar Viejo there are 15 students of theology: 2 from Catalonia, 3 from Indonesia, 2 from Chennai, 1 from St. Thomas, 3 from Nigeria, 2 from Central Africa, and 2 from Vietnam. A true intercultural challenge which is producing very positive results.
In another section of the building, the Retreat House is already prepared for start of the Encounter. Most of the participants have already arrived. But a general strike in France has not only caused delays in the flights of some of the Major Superiors, but it is also possible that some may not be on time for the inauguration of the Encounter.
