Warsaw, Poland. A Claretian musical ensemble, “Claret Gospel” from the Ivory Coast is on tour in Poland. The group consists of 13 members from the Claretian parishes of Abidjan and Bouaflé. The choir sings typical African liturgical songs and performs traditional dance..
Their tour began On May26th at the parish of St. Stanislaw in Warsaw singing at the liturgies with a concert afterwards.
The entire tour is coordinated by Fr. Roman Wo?nica, CMF who spent 20 years working in Africa. “We’ve scheduled more than 50 appearances in cities throughout Poland. Each one of our concerts is not only a performance but also a tool of evangelization.
Our motto is ‘Caritas Christi Urget Nos’ (2 Cor 5:14). The ensemble has also recorded a CD titles ‘We have fallen in love with Christ’. All the profits will go towards a new church building in Bouaflé”, says Fr. Roman. The tour is currently in the north of Poland and will continue until August 2oth.
