Kupang, Indonesia. On the day of the liturgical celebration of the Claretian Martyrs of Barbastro, 38 young men (7 Timorese, and 31 Indonesians) began their canonical postulant year at the “Claret Pre-Novitiate” house of formation in Kupang (Indonesia).
With these new postulants there are a total of 40 who are preparing to enter the Novitiate in June of 2013.
The celebration was presided over by Fr. Sabu George, CMF, Major Superior of the Delegation, Fr. Valens Agino, the new director of Postulants, and Fr, Adrianus Manek, CMF the new Superior of the house. Among the concelebrants, in addition to the missionaries who work in Flores and in the part of Indonesia on the Island of Timor, was recently the reincorporated into the delegation, Fr. John A. Artiles, CMF, who will celebrate his 25th anniversary of ordination with his friends in the following days.
The “vivas” of the Claretian Martyrs were repeated with a new accent and enthusiasm by the numerous youth who inhabit our formation houses in Kupang. “Dear Congregation, be proud of your new sons”.
