Quezon City, Philippines. On July 16, 2019, the 170th founding anniversary of the Congregation of Missionaries Sons of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Deacons Jo Stephen C. Cagaanan, Derrick Russel Q. Tapel, John Nguyen Van Hai, Anthony Nguyen Duy Luong, CMFF of the Philippine Province, together with Deacon Stephen Nguyen Van Nang, CMF of East Asia Independent Delegation, were ordained priests at the church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Quezon City. The ordaining prelate was Msgr. Leo Dalmao, CMF, Bishop of the Territorial Prelature of Isabela. Frs. Cagaanan and Tapel are both Filipinos while the other three are Vietnamese.
After the ordination, Philippine’s Provincial Superior, Fr. Elias Ayuban, Jr., CMF together with Msgr. Dalmao unveiled the logo of the 75 Years of Claretian Presence in the Philippines (1946 – 2021). The theme for each year were also presented: A Province which Goes Forth (Oct. 24, 2019 – Jul. 16, 2020); Community of Witnesses and Messengers (Jul. 16, 2020 – Feb. 1, 2021); Adorers of God in the Spirit (Feb. 1, 2021 – Oct. 24, 2021)
The Eucharistic celebration was followed by a sumptuous meal served at the Bulwagang Claret where pictures of the seventy-five years of doing Claretian mission in the Philippines were also on exhibit.
