Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The Prefecture of Formation of Antillas celebrated last May 3 to 7 the annual Claretian Week of its Formation House in Santo Domingo. It is in view of having an in-depth study and internalization of the Claretian charismatic dimension of those who are in the initial formation. Participants were from the different formation houses of the Delegation.
The participants were able to approach the social, political, economic, and religious reality of the different nations where the formandi that make up the formative houses of the Delegation come from. They were able to welcome with gratitude the testimony of life and mission in the Antillas of Fr. Tomás Cabello, who, for more than 60 years, has given and continues to offer his missionary service in Caribbean lands. They were able to immerse themselves, together with Br. Ysaac Espinal, in the proper characteristics of cordimarian spirituality, establishing the particularities and accents of the charism. In the company of Fr. Fausto Cruz Rosa, CMF, they were able to outline well-defined criteria on the Claretian mission, with the intention that they can shape their lives from being for the mission. With Father Toribio García, they were able to go deeper, in the pastoral dimension, with a landing in the projects and proposals that the Delegation has. And lastly, with Sisters Lidia Alcantara, RMI, Carla, RMI, Mireya Silfa, SC, and Fr. Jairo Perez, CMF, they were able to obtain a greater knowledge of the different branches that make up the Claretian Family and, in a particular way, those that are present in Antillas.
