Batatais, Brazil. Frs. Sérgio Ibanor Piva and Luiz Claudemir Botteon, CMFF received on the night of January 29, 2019 the Municipal Commendation “Dr. Washington Luis Pereira de Sousa”, the highest honor granted by the Tourism Office of the City of Batatais, for their work and of the Claretiano Rede de Educaçao (Claretian Education Network) developed over decades in Batatais. Present during the Awards Night were the city’s political authorities, representatives of the Claretian Missionaries, representatives from Claretiano – University Center of Batatais and Rio Claro, employees of the institutions and the community in general.
The Municipal Commendation “Dr. Washington Luis Pereira de Sousa” was established in 2008 and, according to the legislation, is intended to honor people who have rendered services relevant to the Batatais community, in addition to having dedicated themselves to public service, political, scientific, cultural, artistic development , economic and social of the city.
