Panama City, Panama. The consecrated men and women as well as the lay people, members of the different branches of the Claretian Family, who are present in the World Youth Day 2019 being held in Panama City these days, gathered together on Thursday, 24 January 2019, for a moment of prayer, thanksgiving, and sharing. Six out of the eight branches were present: MIC, MSAMC, RMI, MMC, MSC, and CMF.
The gathering started with the adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, recitation of the prayer of the Claretian Family, and the singing of the Hymn of St. Anthony Mary Claret. Then the family proceeded to the crypt of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Heart of Mary to recall the departed brothers and sisters of the different branches.
The second part of the gathering took place at the function hall of the 5th floor of the Provincial Curia of the Province of Centroamérica. Those who were present presented themselves and their respective branches. Bro. Carlos Verga, CMF and Sr. Priscilla Latela, RMI presented to the assembly the proceedings and what transcribed during the Claretian Family meeting in Rome in November last year. After the snacks and cultural dances typical to Panama, Fr. Artur Teixeira, CMF presented the different SOMI projects, shared mission within the family. And lastly, Fr. Louie Guades III, CMF presented to the body the different social accounts that the Claretian Family have and reminded the body to use the #familiaclaretiana or #claretianfamily everytime a branch of the family has an affair or an event.
The gathering ended with a sumptuous meal and the family happy and contented.
