Lisbon, Portugal. During the Eucharistic Celebration held in Lisbon on the 3rd of January 2019, Fr. Carlos Alberto Candeias do Nascimento, CMF, the new Provincial Superior of Fatima takes oath of Office. Two members of the Council were also present: Frs. Jorge Ramón Sánchez Palacios, and Manuel Ricardo Segura Giráldez, CMFF. Some of the members of the former Governments of the former Organisms now part of Fatima as well as some other members of Local Communities were also present in this momentous event.
Fr. Carlos Alberto Candeias do Nascimento, CMF was born on the 29th of July 1968 in Nazaré, Angola, in the Diocese of Luanda. He took his First Profession in the Congregation on 19 September 1987 in Fatima, Portugal and his Final Vows in the same place on 04 September 1992. He was ordained priest on 30 October 1994 in Pedroso, a former civil parish in the municipality of Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal. He was the Provincial of the then Province of Portugal before the merging of the three Organisms into Fatima.
