Rome, Italy. After a day of rest and tour around the historical places of Rome and the Vatican on Sunday, the Claretian Family Meeting on Youth and Vocations Ministry resumes today, 26 November 2018.
The 8th day started with the celebration of the Eucharist in the Zairean rite led by the participants from Congo, with songs and dances praising God. Then during the sessions in the morning, Fr. Gabriel Isaias, CMF, Delegate Superior of Angola – Sao Tome Dependent Delegation, gave them the Claretian traits in accompanying the youth: missionary going forth, in view of vocation, ecclesial and communitarian, and with Claretian charism. In the afternoon, Sr. Priscila Latela, RMI shared to them the topic of active listening, a way to provoke change in a person. She underlined three forms: encounter – the real meaning of what you hear; respond – to the feelings and not to the text; do – something more than just listening.
Towards the end of the day, they have invited six of the youth of Fr. Cristian Prestianni of the Parish of Santa Felicita e figli martiri in Rome. They have shared their personal experiences in living the faith, their participation in the Chruch, their pre-synodal work. An open forum followed their sharing.
