Kosala Kumba, Cameroon. The Vocation Team of the Claretians of Cameroon met in in Kosala Kumba on the 24th of January 2018.
The meeting had as business of the day the evaluation of the activities of the Vocation Pastoral Ministry and the review of the list of the 2018 Aspirants.
Amidst the recent political upheavals in some part of the Country affecting education and subsequently vocations, the team members were encouraged to continue to work hard to encourage vocations in the Church in General and to the Congregation in particular. More efforts will be made to participate in youth and vocations camps and also in the accompaniment of the young people seeking to join our missionary way of life. This work has to touch all the facets of the society where we can nurture vocations especially the family, schools, church, etc. The Team Members were also encouraged to work harder and also pray for the gift of more vocations to the brotherhood in our congregation.
After review, 32 young people were shortlisted for 2018 possible claretian aspirants. The discernment will continue till the month of July when the qualified candidates will be officially chosen to begin the postulancy.
We thank God for the gift of vocations in our Congregation and especially in our Delegation. More young people are knocking at our door from all the different zones of the Country.
