Rome, Italy. The Immaculate Heart of Mary in Parioli Parish in Rome is organizing a special series of talks to celebrate the 175th anniversary of the founding of the Claretian Congregation. The three talks aim to help people understand the meaning of consecrated life in the Church, the great orders and congregations in history, and the Claretian Congregation’s origins, founders, and purpose. These themes are developed by the Pontifical Institute of the Theology of the Consecrated Life (Claretianum) in Rome, along with its lecturers and guest speakers, namely Frs. J. Larrañaga and M. Bevilacqua, CMFF, and Dr. M. Carpinello.
The first session took place on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at 7 pm in the Sala Rotonda of the Basilica. It was well-attended, with the Claretians in attendance. During the session, Fr. J. Larrañaga provided insights into the significance of consecrated life and discussed the role of the Claretian Congregation in it.
These talks will showcase the significant role played by institutes of consecrated life and the rich history behind it. The Parish is excited to welcome more individuals to the upcoming sessions on April 9th and May 14th, 2024, with the hope of continuing the journey of understanding and appreciation towards consecrated life.
