Cujuru, Brazil. Fr. Eguione Nogueira Ricardo, CMF, received on March 17, 2023, at the Rua da Cidadania do Cajuru Auditorium, the title Doctor Honoris Causa for his work in the sociotransformative dimension of the Archdiocese of Curitiba.
Fr. Eguione is the parish priest of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Curitiba and professor of Claretian Studium Theologicum. Endorsed by the Faculdade Febraica (Training and specialization in Brazilian and international chaplaincy), the Ordem dos Capelães do Brasil (OCB) recognized Fr. Eguione’s outstanding work in the sociotransformative dimension of the Archdiocese of Curitiba.
This recognition highlights the importance and impact of Father Eguione’s work in the community, as well as his dedication to teaching and promoting faith.
It also demonstrates Father Eguione’s commitment to the values and teachings of the Archdiocese of Curitiba, as he also tries to fulfill the “Dream” of the Claretian Missionaries in that area. It serves as a reminder of how the work of religious leaders can be recognized and appreciated within their community.
The Latin term “Honoris Causa” means “for the honor” and is a title granted to individuals in recognition of their career and notable achievements in their field of action, regardless of their previous academic qualifications.
