BATA, EQUATORIAL GUINEA: The Father Xifré Delegation held its Assembly of the Superiors of the Communities of Gabon and Equatorial Guinea on February 1st, marking the start of a three-day event. The assembly brought together the Delegation’s Governing Council and representatives from the 16 communities that make up the delegation.
The assembly began with a spiritual start, including adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and a celebration of the Eucharist in honor of the Blessed Martyrs of the Congregation. The opening session was marked by the enthronement and proclamation of the Word of God, setting a reverent tone for the event.
During the assembly, the Delegation’s government presented its Action Plan for the Triennium 2022-2025 to the local Superiors. The communities also shared their progress in implementing the orientations from the Second Assembly of the Delegation, which took place one year prior.
The aim of the assembly was to foster a synodal leadership, teamwork, and co-responsibility in the exercise of authority in the communities and Delegation. The attendees hope that the tenderness of the Immaculate Heart of Mary will accompany the work of the assembly.
The Father Xifré Novitiate Formation House in Bata, Equatorial Guinea, served as the venue for the assembly.
