Fr. Miguel Medel Garcia, CMF, died on July 21, 2022, in the hospital of Leon shortly before midnight at the age of 91. He is from the Province of Santiago. He made his first profession on July 16, 1947, and was ordained to the priesthood on May 2, 1954. Furthermore, he spent a significant part of his missionary life in Centroamérica. As we thank the Lord for the gift of his person, his life, his Claretian vocation, and service, we ask him to welcome our friend and brother in his father’s house and place him on the table of the banquet of the Kingdom. At the hour of death, call me. To come to Thee, bid me. That I may praise Thee in the company of Thy saints for all eternity. Amen.
Fr. Miguel Medel Garcia, CMF
When a missionary dies, we should celebrate the last rites with devotion, fraternal love, and simplicity. We should remember all our brothers who have gone before us in the service of the Gospel, commending them to the Lord with the prescribed prayers, especially in the celebration of the Eucharist.
We should show the same reverence and respect for our departed parents and for deceased collaborators of the Congregation.
