Nagercoil, India. One of the mission posts of the Claretian Province of Chennai in India anticipated the International Women’s Day celebration on Sunday, March 6, 2022, in Thadikarankonam, Nagercoil, with one hundred thirty-eight widows of the Namakaga Naam Widows Organization and twenty other guests, including the Claretian Sisters and other collaborators from other congregations.
The organizers invited Ms. Malar Vathi to give an inspiring speech based on her experiences, leaving the participants teary-eyed after her heart-touching sharing. She positively encouraged the widows that they were not alone and assured them her support and guidance, which helped them increase their self-esteem and confidence.
The meaningful action songs led by Fr. Kaspar Raja, CMF, made the celebration more lively and exciting. Fr. Ignasimuthu, CMF, Sr. Amala, Sr. Stella, and Mr. Johnson gave a felicitation message to all the participants.
The joyful and meaningful celebration ended with some tiffin and tea.
