Augurain, Spain. On February 23rd the Claretians of “5th Year” age and others under the age of 50 from the Province of Euskal Herria had an encounter of continuing formation.
Participating were missionaries: Juan Martín Askaiturrieta, Roberto Cillero, Koldo Iribarren, Aitor Kamiruaga, Joseba Kamiruaga and Eduardo Madrazo with the assistance of Mr. Jesús Marauri (layman, educational consultant of the Province of Euskal Herria), and Fr. Jesús Ros, CMF, Superior of the Community of Agurain-Salvatierra.
During their reflection, Mr. Jesús Marauri made a presentation on what he, from a layman’s perspective, expects of the Claretian Missionaries of today. Meanwhile, Fr. Jesús Ros offered the testimony of his experience as a believer, priestly and missionary.
Both presentations gave rise to various questions and a deep dialogue on the most important challenges which confront the missionaries in the first steps of their ministry.
The encounter ended with a celebration of the Eucharist which was presided over by the Provincial, Fr. Joseba Kamiruaga, CMF.
