Akono, Cameroon. The Third National Assembly of the Lay Claretians of Cameroon took place from June 29 to July 1, 2018, at the Parish of Our Lady of the Seven Pains of Akono. Its main goal was precisely to rediscover the identity of the Lay Claretian and all the great wealth of spirituality of St. Anthony Mary Claret.
The activities consisted of moments of prayer, Eucharistic Celebrations, teachings, and fraternal meals. The participants who took part in this meeting are the lay people from the different parishes where the Claretian Missionaries carry out their missions. Also present were Fr. Manuel Alfredo Tamargo, CMF, General Econome and CMF Representative to the Lay Claretians Movement; Fr. Octave Soh Fonkou, CMF, National Coordinator of Lay Claretians in Cameroon; Fr. Clement Uchendu, CMF Zone Coordinator; and Mrs. Bernardeta Arbaiza, Secretary General of the Lay Claretians Movement (MSC).
The group is looking forward to be inscribed officially to the Lay Claretians Movement (MSC) soon as Fr. Manuel and Mrs. Bernardeta animated them.
